Continuing the success of the event series held in August 2022, titled “Wondrous 61 years anniversary,” to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the establishment of Hotel Indonesia, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta is now reviving the beauty of Indonesian art through the event “Gilang Gemilang,” a series of cultural and artistic celebrations from August 8th to 31st, 2023. This includes “Warna Nusantara,” an exhibition showcasing the rich heritage of the archipelago. “Aroma” – Culinary Delights of Nusantara Flavors and “Pentas” – a musical performance featuring various Indonesian musicians are also part of the celebration.

The 61st anniversary celebration of Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta is enhanced by the culinary experience of “Aroma” – which offers a spread of Nusantara Flavors. To mark this historic occasion, guests are invited to enjoy President Soekarno’s favorite dishes in a special pavilion at our renowned restaurant, Signatures. In this dedicated pavilion, guests can savor special dishes such as Pais Ikan, tempe bacem, Garang asem, and more, as well as international delicacies on the buffet table.

Not only that, the Bavaria Paulaner Restaurant operating under Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta will also present the Indonesian Platter consisting of Ayam Taliwang, Pork satay bumbu bali, Plecing kangkung, fragrant rice, and crackers. Additionally, guests can indulge in the Anniversary High Tea inspired by traditional Indonesian sweets, including pandan scones, sekoteng panna cotta, kue pelita, and Es campur pate choux, available throughout August 2023.

Beyond offering a culinary experience, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta also presents the “Warna Nusantara” museum exhibition showcasing an impressive collection from the Textile Museum & Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics. This exhibition, held in the Main Lobby of Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta from August 8th to 31st, 2023, is an exclusive collaboration with the Jakarta Museum Partners Foundation, Museum Semi Rupa and Keramik, and Museum Tekstil. It displays various collections that demonstrate the coexistence of various artistic forms in Indonesia, growing from the cultural heritage of the archipelago. Hotel Indonesia is proud to participate in the mission to preserve Nusantara culture through a museum exhibition in collaboration with Jakarta’s museums.

“We are truly proud to celebrate the 61st anniversary of Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta. ‘Gilang Gemilang’ is a tribute to our rich heritage and our ongoing commitment to providing extraordinary experiences for our esteemed guests,” said Harald Fitzek, General Manager of Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta.
