Hendrick’s Gin is bringing back its annual World Cucumber Day celebration this June with a series of promotional activities and events across Indonesia, culminating in a beachfront gathering at Atlas Beach Club, Bali, on 14 June 2025. This year’s campaign highlights the cucumber as the brand’s signature botanical and central garnish, with participation from over 70 bars and venues in Bali, Jakarta, Bandung, Central Java, and East Java.

The theme of the campaign—Refreshing Encounters with Hendrick’s Gin—includes a variety of activations designed to engage consumers and emphasize the cucumber’s role in the brand’s signature flavor profile.

Cucumber Day 2025:

  • Cucumber Stamp Hunt (1–12 June):
In Bali, five venues—Segno, Santanera, Bar Souvenir, The Shady Fox, and Mailroom—are taking part in a stamp card program. Guests who order Hendrick’s Gin-based cocktails will earn stamps and stand a chance to win a VIP experience at the World Cucumber Day event and other prizes.

  • Cucumber Currency Exchange:
Participating venues across the country will host Cucumber Hour, where customers can exchange a cucumber for a complimentary Hendrick’s Gin & Tonic. The activation highlights the cucumber’s role as the preferred garnish and symbol of the occasion.

  • Hendrick’s Golden Cucumber Hunt:
Consumers who purchase Hendrick’s Original, Grand Cabaret, or Flora Adora at Red & White stores or through minuman.com may find a Golden Cucumber in their package. Winners will receive branded merchandise, with one grand prize awarded to a selected participant.

  • Main Event at Atlas Beach Club, Bali (14 June):
The official celebration will feature several Hendrick’s Gin activations, including:

    • Hendrick’s Cocktail Lab, offering cocktail-making sessions.

    • Refreshment Station, presenting cucumber-inspired cooling installations.

    • Live music and curated food pairings.

According to Charmaine Thio, Southeast Asia Brand Ambassador for Hendrick’s Gin, “The infusion of rose and cucumber is what makes Hendrick’s Gin distinctly refreshing. We always recommend garnishing with cucumber—it not only enhances the botanicals but adds crispness to each sip.”

Participating outlets for the Cucumber Currency Exchange include high-profile venues such as KU DE TA, Ulu Cliffhouse, and Omma Day Club in Bali; Artesian, Vong Kitchen, and Henshin in Jakarta; and multiple bars in Bandung, Semarang, and Surabaya.

World Cucumber Day was first launched as a quirky tribute to the cucumber and has since evolved into a global celebration of Hendrick’s Gin’s identity. The 2025 edition marks one of the largest iterations of the campaign in Indonesia to date, offering immersive brand experiences for cocktail enthusiasts across the country.
