Giulia Cuccurullo Brings Ultimo Cocktail Experience to Artesian Jakarta

The Langham Jakarta welcomed Giulia Cuccurullo, a celebrated bartender from London, for a special weekend at Artesian Bar Jakarta. Giulia is the Head Bartender at Artesian Bar at The Langham, London, a venue that has earned global recognition and won the title of World’s Best Bar multiple times. She will be in Jakarta on 8 and 9 August 2025 to showcase her latest cocktail creations and share her approach to modern mixology.

Giulia has gained international attention for her creative and thoughtful style. She was recently named one of the top four bartenders in the world by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation. Her cocktails are known for combining storytelling with sensory design, turning each drink into a unique experience. During her visit, she will present selections from her new Ultimo menu, which blends artistic ideas with advanced techniques.

Artesian Bar Jakarta, located on a rooftop with sweeping views of the city, is known for its inventive cocktails and stylish atmosphere. For two nights, the bar will feature Giulia’s drinks, each one built around a single key ingredient. These ingredients are preserved and reimagined using modern methods, creating flavors that are both surprising and refined.

Some of the drinks include CEPS, a savory take on the Negroni; KELP, a Martini with a soft umami touch; APPLE, a sparkling champagne cocktail with a light and elegant feel; and CURRANT, a bold drink inspired by the Paloma. Each cocktail reflects Giulia’s interest in tradition, innovation, and sustainability.

Her appearance at Artesian Jakarta marks a collaboration between the Jakarta and London locations, both of which are known for pushing the boundaries of cocktail culture. Giulia sees cocktails as more than just drinks—they are a way to share stories and connect with people. She is excited to bring her ideas to Jakarta and offer guests a taste of her creative world.

Originally from Naples, Italy, Giulia studied architecture before discovering her passion for bartending. Her background in design influences the way she creates drinks, focusing on structure, balance, and emotion. Over the years, she has received several honors, including winning the Patrón Perfectionist competition in 2020, being nominated for GQ Best Bartender, and receiving the title of Best Italian Bartender Abroad in 2024.
