CasaLena, Jakarta’s upscale Latin American grill, marked the launch of its long-term Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, CasaLena Cares, through a month-long culinary event titled Fiesta del Cordero – A Lamb Festival. Held throughout June 2025, the festival was not only a celebration of bold Latin American flavors but also a meaningful step in supporting Jakarta’s elderly community.

In collaboration with Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), the event showcased the versatility of Australian lamb through a special partnership between CasaLena’s Executive Chef Silverio Martinez and Chef Victor Taborda of Sudestada. The duo curated a series of lamb-focused dishes, marrying the depth of Australian produce with the fire-driven spirit of Latin American cooking.

Throughout the month, part of the proceeds from each lamb dish was donated to a local elderly care facility in Jakarta. The donations were used to provide essential food supplies and hygiene products, transforming each meal into a purposeful act of giving.

“Through CasaLena Cares, we’re proud to turn our passion for cooking into something greater—giving back to those who need it most and sharing the warmth of our kitchen with the community,” said Chef Silverio Martinez. “The bold and vibrant flavors of Latin America bring a unique and exciting dimension to these lamb dishes.”

Since opening its doors, CasaLena has become a cornerstone in Jakarta’s culinary landscape. The restaurant offers a refined yet vibrant interpretation of Latin American cuisine, grounded in woodfire grilling—a nod to lena, the Spanish word for firewood. The menu showcases a range of dishes cooked over open flame, from succulent meats to smoky vegetables, emphasizing both flavor and technique. Signature offerings include flame-grilled ribeye, chimichurri-marinated chicken, and seasonal vegetable dishes elevated by Latin spices and slow roasting.

CasaLena’s atmosphere reflects its culinary philosophy—warm, stylish, and centered on hospitality. Located in South Jakarta, the venue has quickly positioned itself as a go-to for modern Latin dining, where elegant presentation meets bold taste. The restaurant is also known for its curated wine list and craft cocktails that complement the smoky richness of its grilled offerings.

The Fiesta del Cordero festival not only introduced new culinary creations but also set the tone for CasaLena’s future philanthropic efforts. With CasaLena Cares, the restaurant commits to regularly engaging in initiatives that give back to local communities in need. This campaign underscores CasaLena’s belief that good food can also do good—turning each dining experience into a small gesture of social impact.
