Carbón Jakarta is celebrating Día de los Muertos, Mexico’s Day of the Dead, with a limited-time menu that pays tribute to one of the country’s most meaningful traditions through bold flavors and contemporary presentation. Running from October 17 to November 2, 2025, the menu blends Latin American influences with Carbón’s signature flame-driven style.
Observed annually on November 1–2, Día de los Muertos is a celebration of remembrance and togetherness, honoring departed loved ones through food, music, and color. Inspired by this spirit, Carbón’s seasonal offering reinterprets traditional Latin flavors into a series of inventive dishes that highlight both cultural heritage and modern technique.
Menu highlights include Salmon Ceviche with Aji Amarillo Aguachile, Kyuri, and Jicama; Scallop Tostada topped with Tapatio Aioli, Avocado, and Mountain Caviar; and Baja Fish Taco made with beer-battered fried marlin, yuzu rocoto aioli, and mango pico de gallo. Other dishes include Stuffed Chicken Wings filled with shrimp chorizo, Street Quesadilla with dry-aged beef picadillo, Lamb Neck Barbacoa served with macadamia nut salsa and blue corn tortilla, and A5 Top Sirloin with celeriac puree and mezcal jus. The celebration ends on a sweet note with the Chuddos Ice Cream Sando, featuring pumpkin ice cream and caramelized peanut.
The festivities conclude on Sunday, November 2, with Sunday Sabor: Día de los Tacos, a collaboration between Carbón and Kulturale. The all-day taco and beer brunch will feature live music, outdoor seating, and a relaxed atmosphere, bringing together food, community, and culture in true Día de los Muertos fashion.
Through this celebration, Carbón continues to highlight the soul of Latin American cuisine — vibrant, communal, and rooted in tradition.
