Bosch Home Appliances is collaborating with YKAI to aid children battling cancer in Indonesia in recognition of World Childhood Cancer Day. They have initiated a campaign named “Art for Impact #LikeABosch: An Auction to Support Childhood Cancer.” This endeavor merges artistic expression, innovation, and community assistance to generate funds via an exhibition and auction of ten artistic refrigerators, each transformed into distinctive works of art.

The initiative highlights the creativity of Indonesian artists, where each refrigerator delivers powerful messages of hope and encouragement for children facing cancer. The central theme is “Food for Hope,” with food symbolizing strength, joy, and optimism. Artists such as Tutu, Muklay, Bunga Yuridespita, Meiliana, Erika Richardo, Winola, and child cancer survivors have participated in this initiative, sharing their narratives through vibrant designs.

Tutu’s artwork, “Spirit to Keep Moving Forward,” underscores the significance of maintaining a positive outlook during challenging times. Muklay’s piece, “Always Fresh and Healthy Day,” advocates for happiness and well-being. Bunga Yuridespita produced two artworks: “Reconstruction Memories” and “Playful Memories,” evoking joyful childhood experiences. Meiliana’s “Pattern of Love” illustrates love and unity through the lens of food. Erika Richardo’s “Memorable Fest” signifies joy amidst cancer trials. Winola’s “Fulfillment” represents life achievements, using food as a symbol of happiness. Ratu Iqlima and Imelda Wahjunisari teamed up with child cancer survivors M. Athalla Putra Sutanto, Caecilia Diah Sekar Ayu, and Aleena Nuzula Purnomo to create “As Sweet as a Cherry” and “When Life Gives You Lemons,” both representing resilience.

The “Art for Impact #LikeABosch” exhibition will take place at Ashta District 8 in Jakarta until 23 February 2025. The auction will be accessible online at sidharta-auctioneer.com as well as in person. By joining this auction, you can acquire a distinctive piece of art while contributing to bringing hope to children battling cancer.
