Asia’s bar community will gather once again in Macau this summer, as the Asia’s 50 Best Bars awards return to the city for a second year in a row. The programme, hosted in collaboration with Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, will culminate in a live ceremony at Wynn Palace on Tuesday, 28 July 2026.
The awards are widely regarded as a key moment in the region’s drinks calendar, celebrating the artistry of bartenders and the creativity of cocktail culture. The ranking is shaped by the Asia’s 50 Best Bars Academy, a panel of more than 300 bartenders, bar owners, drinks writers and cocktail specialists from across Asia. Each member casts votes for venues where they have had outstanding bar experiences, and the results are independently verified to ensure fairness.
Emma Sleight, Head of Content for Asia’s 50 Best Bars, explains the significance of returning to Macau, “We are delighted to return to Macau for Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026. The city provides a dynamic setting for bringing together the region’s bar community to celebrate creativity, craftsmanship and hospitality at the highest level. Our continued partnership with Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace offers an exceptional opportunity to honour the achievements of this year’s most highly ranked establishments.”
The event programme is designed to highlight both Macau’s culinary diversity and the innovation of the drinks industry. Activities include the Bartenders’ Feast, which showcases the city’s food and beverage offerings, and Meet the Bartenders, a roundtable session for media and industry figures. The celebrations conclude with a red-carpet reception and the official countdown to reveal Asia’s Best Bar 2026.
In the weeks leading up to the ceremony, several special awards will be announced. These include the Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award, recognising exceptional service, and the Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award, chosen by peers to honour an influential figure in the craft. Alongside these, the extended 51–100 list will be released, offering a broader view of the region’s thriving bar scene.
The final countdown of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 will be broadcast live on the 50 Best YouTube channel, allowing drinks enthusiasts around the world to join in the celebration. With its mix of culinary showcases, industry dialogue and recognition of excellence, the event continues to highlight the depth and diversity of Asia’s bar culture.
