Ramadan in Jakarta often brings a special rhythm to dining, and this year Sari Pacific Jakarta, Autograph Collection has prepared a series of offerings that highlight the season’s traditions.
At the Istana Ballroom, evenings are marked by “Nuansa Ramadan Kaya Rasa”, a daily iftar buffet that stretches across Indonesian classics and international dishes. More than a hundred selections are laid out, accompanied by live music and performances that create a lively atmosphere. Executive Chef Isep Hidayatullah explains that the idea is to bring comfort and familiarity, with dishes rooted in Indonesian flavors prepared with care.
Another option comes from Sari Delicatessen and Café, where “Buka Puasa di Sardel” is served in a more intimate setting. Guests are welcomed with main courses such as Beef Semur Betawi and Sous Vide Herb & Spice Half Chicken, while an array of takjil is offered without limit. Traditional sweets, fried snacks, fresh fruit, and other favorites fill the table, all within a space decorated to reflect the festive spirit of Ramadan.
The season of giving is also reflected in a collection of hampers and cakes. Each package is arranged with jars of cookies in varying assortments, while Basbousa Cake—popular in Middle Eastern traditions—appears as a seasonal highlight. Available in different sizes, it adds a distinctive touch to the Ramadan lineup.
When Eid arrives, the celebrations continue with Halal Bi-Halal gatherings at the café. The set menu begins with small bites like corn fritters and vegetable lumpia, followed by choices such 12-hour braised beef ribs Maranggi style with fragrant lime leaf rice and crispy potato balado, or ketupat sayur with slow-cooked beef rendang and traditional accompaniments.
Together, these offerings trace the journey of Ramadan at Sari Pacific Jakarta—from the daily ritual of breaking fast, to the joy of sharing gifts, and finally to the reunions that follow Eid.
