SugarSand, the beachfront restaurant at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, will welcome Chef-Owner Martin of TAKK for a one-night four-hand dinner on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Joining SugarSand’s Chef de Cuisine Ega, Martin will contribute to a 13-course menu served against the backdrop of Seminyak’s beachfront setting.
The dinner forms part of SugarSand’s recently launched Borderless Cuisine concept, curated by Chef Ega. The concept combines seasonal local produce with international cooking techniques and draws from Mediterranean, Italian, Asian, and other culinary traditions, alongside a focus on sustainability.
For the special dinner, Chef Martin, Founder and Head Chef of TAKK, a casual fine-dining restaurant in Petitenget, will bring his own culinary background to SugarSand’s menu. His experience includes working in Michelin-starred establishments and studying culinary arts in Melbourne, Switzerland, Sweden, and Bali. His approach incorporates Scandinavian simplicity, classical French techniques, and a systematic approach to cooking.
A 13 Course Menu
The menu brings together Chef Ega’s Borderless Cuisine and Martin’s Scandinavian and French influences, using local ingredients across 13 courses.
Among Martin’s contributions is Savory French Toast, combining fresh mulberry jam, silky otoro, melted lardo, and a hint of wasabi.
Chef Ega will present 18 Hour Short Ribs On Bones, served with Indonesian andaliman pepper jus, peperomia, and wild kemangi, alongside kluwek grilled pilaf rice.
The dinner highlights the two chefs’ respective approaches while keeping SugarSand’s coastal setting and Borderless Cuisine concept at the center of the experience.
The four-hand dinner is priced at IDR 650,000++ per person, with an optional wine pairing available for an additional IDR 350,000++ per person.
