Padma Resort Legian has introduced Bali Heritage Afternoon Tea, a new afternoon tea experience that highlights the island’s culinary heritage through a selection of locally inspired sweet and savoury creations. Available daily at the resort, the experience presents Bali’s regional flavours through modern interpretations of traditional ingredients and dishes.
Served on a bespoke tray shaped like the island of Bali, the collection features ten handcrafted creations inspired by different landscapes and culinary influences across the destination. The menu highlights ingredients associated with various parts of Bali, from highland produce and tropical fruits to traditional spice pastes used in local cuisine.
Among the sweet selections is Bedugul Strawberry Delight, inspired by the cool highlands of Bedugul, known for its agricultural produce and strawberries. Another highlight, Piña Colada Mille-Feuille, combines crisp puff pastry with local pineapple cream, reflecting Bali’s tropical fruit offerings through a contemporary dessert.
The savoury selection focuses on Bali’s traditional spice blends, known locally as base genep, which form the foundation of many Balinese dishes. Denpasar Snapper Satay features fresh snapper marinated with Balinese spices and lemongrass, served with sambal matah inspired by the coastal flavours of Sanur. Meanwhile, Gianyar Chicken Quiche combines chicken cooked with Balinese spice paste and cassava leaves in a modern pastry format.
The afternoon tea is complemented by a selection of homemade tea blends, including Chrysanberry, Pale Ruby, and Purple Velvet, which remain part of the menu following their popularity among previous guests. Guests can also choose from beverages inspired by Indonesian flavours, such as Loloh Don Kayu Manis Refresher, Es Bir Singaraja, Telang Spritz, and Coconut & Pandan Cooler, alongside cocktails including Honey Lime Fizz and Cocopandan Marteani.
Through Bali Heritage Afternoon Tea, Padma Resort Legian continues its focus on showcasing the island’s culture and ingredients through dining experiences. By incorporating flavours and stories from different regions of Bali, the resort presents a contemporary interpretation of local culinary traditions.
