Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta is marking its 64th anniversary with a culinary collaboration alongside PT Produksi Film Negara (PFN), bringing the beloved Indonesian character Si Unyil to its dining outlets through a nostalgic menu inspired by traditional local favourites.
Available from 11 July to 31 August 2026, the collaboration centres on Signatures Restaurant and Kempi Deli, where guests can enjoy a selection of dishes and desserts inspired by the classic television series. The programme coincides with the hotel’s anniversary on 5 August and celebrates the shared heritage of two long-standing Indonesian icons.
At Signatures Restaurant, the weekend brunch introduces Rujak Bu Bariah, one of the most recognisable dishes associated with Si Unyil, alongside an assortment of traditional Indonesian sweets including kue pukis and other nostalgic desserts inspired by the show’s familiar characters. The brunch experience is accompanied by meet-and-greet sessions with Si Unyil and friends, as well as children’s colouring activities designed for families.
Meanwhile, Kempi Deli presents a limited-edition collection of Si Unyil-themed desserts, created exclusively for the collaboration. While rooted in Indonesian nostalgia, the desserts are presented through the hotel’s contemporary pastry approach.
“Si Unyil was originally created to instill positive values such as togetherness, tolerance, mutual cooperation (gotong royong), and a profound love for Indonesian culture,” said Christo Putra Aris, Production Director of PT Produksi Film Negara (Persero). “Those are the values we continue to preserve and introduce to today’s audience.”
Beyond the dining programme, the collaboration also includes family-friendly activities throughout the hotel, including a Holiday Passport stamp hunt, exclusive Si Unyil Flazz cards, and opportunities for guests to explore the history of Hotel Indonesia, which opened in 1962 as Indonesia’s first five-star hotel.
The Si Unyil collaboration runs until 31 August 2026, with the anniversary celebration taking place on 5 August, offering visitors a chance to revisit classic Indonesian flavours while celebrating one of Jakarta’s most historic hotels.
