Hennessy has officially launched Hennessy MyWay 2026, the sixth edition of its global cocktail competition, opening registrations for bartenders across Indonesia to compete through a series of national and international stages. The programme focuses on cocktail creation, sustainability, storytelling, and ritual-based presentation, with the national winner advancing to the global finals in France later this year.
Organised as both a competition and educational platform, Hennessy MyWay aims to support the development of Indonesia’s bartending scene through masterclasses, guest shifts, and mentorship sessions held across multiple cities.
Indonesia has continued to strengthen its presence within the global bartending community through previous editions of the competition. In 2023, Rizky Ramdhani Razak reached the Global Top 3 while also receiving the Most Sustainable Award. This was followed by I Gusti Putu Agus Giri Asta in 2024, who earned a Global Top 3 placement and won the Best Service Ritual Award. Most recently, Arya Dharmayasa secured the title of Regional Winner, continuing Indonesia’s growing recognition on the international stage.
Roadshow Events Across Indonesia
Ahead of the competition deadline, Hennessy Indonesia held a series of pre-event activations in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, and Bali. Each session combined educational masterclasses with guest shift programmes designed to introduce bartenders to the competition format and judging process.

- BSMT, Bandung (17 April 2026)
- Zeru at Padma Hotel, Semarang (24 April 2026)
- The Shady Pig Berawa, Bali (26 April 2026)
Masterclass sessions were also supported by former Indonesian finalists and winners, who shared their experiences from previous competitions and offered guidance on presentation, cocktail development, and competition preparation.
Competition Structure and Timeline
Participants entering Hennessy MyWay 2026 are required to submit an original cocktail concept accompanied by a video showcasing its ritual serve. Entries will be evaluated based on sustainability, drinkability, ritual presentation, product knowledge, and overall execution.
The competition timeline includes:
- Submission Deadline — 15 May 2026
- Top 10 Indonesia Announcement — 1 June 2026
- Physical Judging Period — starting 15 June 2026
- Top 5 Announcement — 15 July 2026
- National Final — 13 August 2026
- Global Final — October 2026 in France
Finalists will progress through multiple judging stages before one bartender is selected to represent Indonesia internationally.
