As Ramadan approaches, Indonesian hospitality group Plataran Indonesia is bringing back its “Legendary Iftar” programme across its dining venues and catering services, marking the return of one of its most recognisable seasonal offerings.

Positioned as a Ramadan dining experience rooted in Indonesian culinary heritage, this year’s programme introduces refreshed menu research alongside traditional live cultural elements, including the call of the muadzin at sunset, Rampak Bedug performances, and Gambus acoustic music.

Indonesian Classics With Regional Influence

The updated Ramadan menu highlights a selection of Indonesian dishes spanning multiple regional influences. Among the featured plates are:

  • Sate Ayam Jeruk Kasturi

  • Ayam Kayu Manis

  • Bistik Melayu Deli

  • Domba Kari Pistachio

  • Lontong Sayur Ikan Bilis

  • Kerapu Bungkus Daun Papua, prepared in traditional Papuan style

  • Bubur Pandan Kinca Nangka

  • Kunafa Ketan Item

The offering combines familiar Ramadan staples with regional preparations, balancing grilled items, slow-cooked meats, and sweet finishes designed for communal dining.

Rather than focusing solely on buffet variety, Plataran frames the iftar around atmosphere and service, with flexible arrangements for family gatherings, corporate groups, and larger communal events.

Beyond Venue Dining

The Ramadan programme extends beyond on-site restaurants through Plataran Catering Services, including “Plataran at Your Home” for residential and office gatherings. Seasonal Ramadan hampers are also available, reflecting the gifting traditions associated with the holy month.

Across its properties, Plataran continues to position Ramadan as an extension of its broader pillars of Nature, Culture, and Community, integrating culinary heritage with live performance and tailored service throughout the fasting month.
