The Ritz-Carlton, Bali has outlined its Lunar New Year 2026 dining programme with a series of food-focused celebrations centred on family-style gatherings and traditional flavours. Taking place in mid-February, the programme includes a one-night Lunar New Year’s Eve dinner and a limited-run Lunar New Year afternoon tea, marking the Year of the Horse at the resort’s Nusa Dua property.
The main Lunar New Year celebration takes place on 16 February 2026 at Senses, where the resort will host a Lunar New Year’s Eve dinner overlooking the garden. The evening is structured around a buffet that brings together classic festive dishes such as steamed dim sum, spring rolls, roast duck, wok-fried specialities, and symbolic plates associated with prosperity and longevity. Live carving stations and traditional desserts complete the dinner, which is designed as a communal dining experience for families and groups.
Alongside the dinner, the resort will also present a Lunar New Year afternoon tea, offered from 15 to 20 February 2026. The afternoon tea features a selection of sweet and savoury items inspired by Asian festive traditions, including mandarin orange cake, vegetable-filled pastries, dried fruits, plums, and other seasonal treats. Served with premium loose-leaf teas and ocean views, the experience offers a more relaxed way to mark the Lunar New Year period.
According to Go Kondo, the Lunar New Year programme is designed to balance tradition with a contemporary dining setting, allowing guests to observe the occasion through shared meals rather than spectacle.
Through its Lunar New Year dining and afternoon tea offerings, The Ritz-Carlton, Bali positions food as the central expression of celebration, framing the holiday around togetherness, symbolic dishes, and time spent at the table.
