Pantja Hospitality Group began as a shared passion between Kabir Suharan and Rapha Menchaca, two friends who turned their love for food and drink into a growing collection of venues in South Jakarta. Their first project, Pantja, opened in Senopati and quickly became known for its wood-fired cooking, seasonal ingredients, and a cocktail bar that reimagines classics with a personal touch. “These are not just ideals but working principles that we live by every day,” says Kabir, referring to the group’s five pillars: food, drinks, music, hospitality, and design.

The team’s hands-on approach has shaped the group’s culture, with regular tasting sessions and mentorship that support internal growth. Chef Andrew now leads Pantja Izakaya, a Japanese-inspired restaurant that features binchotan-grilled dishes, sashimi, and curated music. Chef Richard heads the flagship kitchen, while Fabri oversees the bar program.

Pantja’s menu focuses on seasonal ingredients, wood-fire cooking, and fresh pasta made daily. The bar is known for its creative takes on classic cocktails, often paired with stories behind each drink. Over the years, Pantja has received several awards, including recognition from Asia’s 50 Best Bars. Pantja Izakaya offers a different experience, inspired by Japanese izakayas but shaped by the group’s own style. The kitchen uses a binchotan charcoal grill to prepare yakitori, Wagyu beef, and sashimi, while the drinks reflect Japanese techniques. The space combines natural wood with curated music, creating a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.

Pantja Steakhouse is currently a pop-up in Senopati, serving grilled Wagyu and seafood over rambutan wood. A permanent location is planned for 2026. Meanwhile, Pantja Deli brings classic sandwiches to Jakarta through pop-ups, including a regular spot at Padel Cartel in Dharmawangsa. Beyond its venues, Pantja Concierge offers private dining and catering, applying the same attention to detail found in its restaurants and bars.

“We’re not chasing perfection,” says Rapha Menchaca. “We’re always guided by our true north—staying rooted in who we are, and doing things with integrity.” With each new concept, Pantja Hospitality continues to explore new formats while staying true to its five guiding pillars.
