Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace recently hosted Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025, marking the first time this prestigious awards event took place in Macau. From July 11 to 15, the two luxury resorts welcomed bartenders, chefs, drinks professionals, and media from around the world to celebrate the region’s most exciting cocktail spots and talents. The main ceremony on July 15 was held at the Wynn Palace Grand Theater. Guests arrived to a red carpet entrance, followed by a lively cocktail reception. Throughout the night, they sampled drinks made by some of the top bars in Asia. The announcement of this year’s ranked list added an extra layer of excitement.
Before the awards, the Bartenders’ Feast was held at Wynn Palace’s Event Marquee. The evening brought together well-known names like Wing Lei Bar, Tell Camellia, and Bar US, each serving signature cocktails in a stylish, relaxed setting. Media guests also joined the Meet the Bartenders event, where they had a chance to speak directly with key figures in the regional bar scene. The celebration wrapped up with a Closing Party at Wynn Palace’s Fontana. With views of Performance Lake, guests enjoyed a buffet dinner and drinks by Wing Lei Bar, Cosmo Pony, and The Curator. Adding a fun local touch, the event featured a booth offering dragon’s beard candy by Yau Kei Candy—a beloved traditional Macanese treat.
Throughout the week, Wynn’s bars and restaurants were part of a series of special events, collaborations, and pop-ups. More than 25 guest chefs and bartenders from different parts of the world joined forces with Wynn’s team to showcase new ideas and unique flavors. The Inventors’ Laboratory event brought two influential figures together—Julio Bermejo, known for Tommy’s Margarita, and Sam Ross, the mind behind cocktails like Penicillin and Paper Plane. Their shared session explored creative drink making and personal techniques.
Another standout was the North American West Coast Road Trip, which featured bartending teams from Laowai, Thunderbolt, and Pacific Cocktail Haven. They served cocktails inspired by their home cities, taking guests on a tasting journey through Canada and the United States. Wing Lei Bar hosted several themed sessions as well. Aperitivo Canto, supported by Campari, included drinks from bars such as Bar Sathorn, Opium, and Bar Leone. Guests also enjoyed small bites by Chef Tam Kwok Fung, known for his Cantonese fusion cuisine. Later in the week, the Best of British event gathered bartenders from Wing Lei Bar, Schofield’s Bar, Kwãnt Mayfair, and Hey Palu. This evening celebrated drinks from the United Kingdom, presented in Wynn’s Palace Reserve Club.
The entire week combined creativity, flavor, and community, giving guests a chance to enjoy top-level hospitality while connecting with some of the best bartenders in the business. Hosting Asia’s 50 Best Bars added another layer to Wynn’s commitment to supporting culinary culture and Macau’s reputation as a global destination for food and drink.
