The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, has announced its annual extended ranking of restaurants placed from No.51 to No.100. The reveal precedes the official awards ceremony on 19 June 2025, set to take place in Turin, Region of Piedmont, Italy.

This year’s 51–100 list highlights the global diversity of contemporary dining, featuring establishments across 25 territories and 37 cities, spanning six continents. The list was determined by the votes of 1,120 culinary experts, including acclaimed chefs, food writers, and discerning gastronomes who form The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy.

Twelve new entries make their debut on the 2025 extended list, originating from cities such as São Paulo, San Francisco, Macau, and Tulum. Among the notable debuts is Arca in Tulum, Mexico, entering at No.67, while Queenstown, New Zealand, features on the list for the first time with Amisfield Restaurant at No.99.

Europe leads in overall representation with 20 restaurants, including new entries such as Koan (No.91) in Copenhagen, Cocina Hermanos Torres (No.78) in Barcelona, Txispa (No.85) in Atxondo, and Al Gatto Verde (No.92) in Modena. Jordnær in Copenhagen returns to the list at No.56. Germany secures four spots, with three located in Berlin: Restaurant Tim Raue (No.58), Nobelhart & Schmutzig (No.59), and Coda (No.79), along with Tantris in Munich (No.73).

Spain also sees three more establishments in the list: Quique Dacosta (No.65) in Dénia, Aponiente (No.84) in El Puerto de Santa María, and Mugaritz (No.87) in San Sebastian. Belgium is represented by Willem Hiele (No.62) in Oudenburg and Bozar (No.63) in Brussels, while the UK sees Mountain (No.74) and The Clove Club (No.86) in London ranked. Other notable European listings include Schloss Schauenstein (No.52) in Switzerland, Hiša Franko (No.69) in Slovenia, Le Doyenné (No.77) in France, and Neolokal (No.100) in Istanbul.

Asia registers nine restaurants on the list, including new entries Chef Tam’s Seasons (No.72) in Macau and Meet the Bund (No.94) in Shanghai. Returning names include Burnt Ends (No.93) and Labyrinth (No.97) in Singapore; Den (No.53) and Sazenka (No.71) in Tokyo; Onjium (No.57) in Seoul; Fu He Hui (No.64) in Shanghai; and Masque (No.68) in Mumbai.

Africa sees three Cape Town-based restaurants in the extended list: La Colombe (No.55), Fyn (No.82), and Salsify at the Roundhouse (No.88), the latter making its first appearance.

In North America, four new entries are listed: Arca (No.67) in Tulum, Huniik (No.89) in Mérida, Atelier Crenn (No.96) in San Francisco, and César (No.98) in New York. Additional placements include Alcalde (No.51) in Guadalajara, Pujol (No.60) in Mexico City, SingleThread (No.80) in Healdsburg, and Le Bernardin (No.90) in New York.

South America includes one new entrant, Tuju (No.70) from São Paulo, along with El Chato (No.54) and Leo (No.76) in Bogotá, Oteque (No.81) in Rio de Janeiro, A Casa do Porco (No.83) in São Paulo, Nuema (No.61) in Quito, and Mil (No.75) in Cusco. Evvai (No.95), also in São Paulo, reappears in the list.

From Oceania, Saint Peter in Sydney ranks No.66, while Amisfield Restaurant in Queenstown marks the first time a New Zealand venue is featured, placing at No.99.

The Voting Process
The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list is compiled by a voting panel of 1,120 industry figures drawn from 28 global regions, each consisting of 40 members including a chairperson. The Academy ensures gender balance and international representation. The list is independently adjudicated by Deloitte to maintain integrity in the voting process. No event sponsor has any influence over the final results.

The official awards ceremony for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 will take place on Thursday, 19 June at Lingotto Fiere, Turin, and will be streamed live via the 50 Best YouTube channel. The live stream begins at 20:00 (Turin time) / 19:00 (UK time), and updates will also be available across the official 50 Best social media channels.
