Anigre Restaurant at Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel is holding a special dining event called “Taste of Vietnam”, running until 9 November 2025. The event features a selection of Vietnamese dishes prepared by two distinguished chefs from Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel, Chef Nam Le and Chef Hien Nguyen.
The menu includes well-known dishes from Vietnam, each made using traditional methods and ingredients brought in from the country. One of the highlights is Phở Bò, a beef noodle soup with a deep, slow-cooked broth. Another is Bánh Xèo, a crispy pancake filled with vegetables and served with fresh herbs. Guests can also try Bánh Mì, a baguette sandwich with layers of meat, pickled vegetables, and herbs. Cà Ri Gà, a chicken curry with coconut milk and lemongrass, offers a rich and fragrant option. For dessert, Chè Đậu Xanh is a sweet mung bean soup served warm or chilled.
“As part of the Sheraton brand’s global culinary connection, this collaboration embodies the spirit of cultural exchange through food,” said Ferdian Tobing, Executive Chef of Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel. “The ‘Taste of Vietnam’ invites guests to discover the genuine flavors and timeless techniques that have made Vietnamese cuisine beloved across the world.”
This event is part of an ongoing exchange between the two Sheraton hotels. Earlier this year, the Jakarta team visited Saigon Grand Opera Hotel to share Indonesian flavors. Now, the chefs from Vietnam have come to Jakarta to offer a taste of their own culinary heritage.
