throughout January and February 2022. Chinese New Year is a time of new beginnings for everyone, with the character of the Tiger that will bring a wonderful spirit of strength and braveness that epitomises the Tiger as the king of all beasts.
Shangri-La Jakarta will decorate its 1st-floor area with a touch of propitious cerulean blue, red, and pastel colours that blend perfectly with the installation of a beautiful garden with bird ornaments, depictions of tigers as a marker of the coming year of The Tiger and Chinese-style garden benches that liven up the atmosphere. This beautiful garden will captivate attention and enhance the area as a way of welcoming all guests to the beautiful and festive Chinese New Year celebration.
The origins of the Chinese New Year are steeped in legend with heaps of meaningful stories. One of the things that makes this Chinese New Year special is that it is a time for feasting and get-togethers with family members. Shangri-La Jakarta invites guests for a warm and lively celebration in a sumptuous, hearty dining experience with a distinctive oriental taste.
The hotel’s Chinese restaurant, JIA, will prepare special culinary enjoyments in honour of the Chinese New Year and Cap Go Meh tradition. Starting on 10 January until 15 February 2022, guests are invited to feast on Chinese New Year set menus, with options ranging from Xin Nian Kuai Le at IDR 1,688,000 ++ per
person, Gong Xi Fa Cai at IDR 1,988,000++ per person and Wan Shi Ru Yi at IDR 2,888,000++ per person.
This special season of celebration also features delectable a la carte menus for lunch and dinner from 10 January to 15 February 2022. Start the meal with a Yu Sheng salad that brings happiness, fortune, and abundance. Guests will pamper their taste buds with JIA’s signature dishes including the renowned Peking Duck, braised Sea Cucumber with dried Oyster and Sea Moss, braised whole Pork Knuckle with Sea Moss and Vegetables, Salmon Yu Sheng, baked Tiger King Prawns with Cheese and Mushrooms, and for dessert, Hot Almond Cream with Mocci and Peach Resin that will bring warmth and enjoyment to the dining table.
The authentic New Year’s cuisines are also available including Poon Choi which symbolises unity, respect, and gratitude, and the classic Koi Nian Gao to close the feast on a sweet note. To add to the celebrations, our team of professional chefs will prepare an all-you-can-eat premium Dim Sum lunch on 1st and 2nd
