Brought to you by the same team as Fishbone Local, Australian head chef Ben Cross brings the same handcrafted approach to the Mason menu. Utilizing the best products available, Mason takes a curated approach to dining by sourcing only the best local and organic ingredients. With pared-back interiors designed by Kelvin Ho, this 100-seater is the perfect casual environment to sip on a Negroni and dine on halloumi with honey and mint, tuna ceviche, and slow-roasted lamb shoulder.
Chef Benjamin Cross has most notably honed his skills in the kitchens of household names such as Janni Kyritsis from former MG Garage and Neil Perry, as part of the reopening team of XO and as Sous Chef of Rockpool. Benjamin also did small stints at Tom Colicchio’s Craft in New York, Tertullia in New York and Santi Santamaria’s three Michelin star restaurant, Can Fabes in Sant Celoni.
“My philosophy on food is based on simplicity and quality. I try not to over-complicate dishes, but keep them exciting to surpass expectations,” said Benjamin Cross.
