Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomic Ubud has announced its official participation in the upcoming Ubud Food Festival (UFF), returning for its milestone 10th edition from 30 May to 1 June 2025. Set against the backdrop of Bali’s cultural hub, this year’s festival carries the theme “Heritage,” spotlighting Indonesia’s culinary legacy and the global creativity that continues to shape its evolution.

As part of the festival’s main program, Mozaic and Executive Chef Blake Thornley will host a series of curated experiences, bringing together acclaimed chefs and mixologists for three days of immersive culinary programming.

Day One – Friday, 30 May 2025

The festival opens with a pop-up at Mozaic’s Tipple Room, featuring Gareth Whitton—co-founder of Melbourne’s Tarts Anon and guest judge on MasterChef Australia 2022. From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, visitors can sample Whitton’s modern pastry creations, known for their contemporary takes on classic desserts.

Earlier that day, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Whitton will lead a VIP Pastry Masterclass, hosted in collaboration with Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomic Ubud. Priced at IDR 388,000++ per person, the session will offer participants a hands-on opportunity to learn techniques behind professional patisserie from one of Australia’s leading pastry chefs.

Day Two – Saturday, 31 May 2025

The weekend’s culinary highlight comes with a six-hands dinner at Mozaic’s The Dining Room, featuring a collaboration between Chef Blake Thornley, Chef Gareth Whitton, and Chef Christian Martena of CLARA Bangkok.

Priced at IDR 1,700,000++ per person, the dinner will showcase inventive dishes from three chefs with distinct culinary styles. Chef Blake Thornley, whose leadership has earned Mozaic the 25th spot on La Liste’s Top 1000 Restaurants 2025 and recognition as Indonesia’s sole member of Les Grandes Tables du Monde, will join forces with Whitton and Martena. Martena, known for his modern Italian cuisine, has received a Michelin Guide listing since 2021 and was named 23rd Best Italian Restaurant in the World by 50 Top Italy 2025.

Day Three – Sunday, 1 June 2025

The festival concludes with a cocktail masterclass at Spice by Blake, led by Mozaic’s award-winning mixologist, Bili Wirawan. Scheduled for 2:00 PM and priced at IDR 300,000++, the session offers insights into Bili’s creative process, honed through experience at top venues such as Four Seasons Jimbaran and Chefs Club at The St. Regis Aspen Resort.

Through its participation in this year’s Ubud Food Festival, Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomic Ubud reaffirms its commitment to culinary innovation and cultural collaboration. With guest chefs from Australia and Thailand joining the program, the restaurant continues to champion both local heritage and international excellence on the Indonesian gastronomic stage.
