The Burnt Ends Hospitality Group and Ateria are excited to announce that they will open Meatsmith’s second international outlet this January in the bustling metropolis of Jakarta. Meatsmith Jakarta is slated to open on Friday, 14 January 2022 and offers a relaxed and casual atmosphere, the perfect escapism for Jakarta’s hustle and bustle.

Burnt Ends was opened by Chef-Owner Dave Pynt in 2013 and quickly became one of the hottest tables in Singapore. Buoyed by its success, they continue by opening Meatsmith, a real-deal barbecue that exists outside of America’s traditional barbecue heartlands using heat, char, smoke, and the grill while covering barbecue from various aspects, ideologies, cultures, and flavors.  The Burnt Ends Hospitality Group now has restaurants in Singapore, the Maldives and Doha. All the restaurants focus on wood fire cooking, offering a relaxed atmosphere where guests can dine with friends or family to enjoy thoughtfully prepared, tasty food made with the best available produce.

The first restaurant is the acclaimed one-Michelin-starred Burnt Ends, a modern wood fire restaurant in Singapore’s Dempsey Hill, serving modern barbecue and a drink list comprised of boutique wines and artisanal spirits in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. At the heart of this restaurant is an open-concept kitchen with counter dining surrounding a custom four-tone dual cavity oven and four elevation grills. Burnt Ends writes their menus daily and believes that there is magic that comes from cooking with wood.

With Meatsmith, Chef Dave Pynt believes magic comes from cooking with wood. He features his absolute mastery through perfectly grilled signature burgers, exquisitely marbled steaks, tender brisket, and ribs smoked for up to 14 hours – it is a labor of love. With the popularity of the brand in its hometown of Singapore, Meatsmith Jakarta will be its second international venture and its fourth branch worldwide. The menu also features exclusive dishes, made available only in Jakarta like: 14-hour smoked brisket with date purée, tahini dressing and watercress salad; 12-hour smoked beef short rib served with corn purée and sautéed corn topped with parsley salad and pickled red onion; and cold smoked grilled lobster served with smoked potato purée, crispy potato chips and agro dolce.

The bar is ideal for an aperitif as well as late-night revelries. The menu is complemented by a carefully curated international wine selection, craft beers, classic cocktails, and extensive spirit collections focusing on fine whiskies and bourbons.

This revamped residential villa turned Full Metal Smokehouse has been a collaborative effort between HBA group’s Social F+B (Singapore) for the brand concept creation and the architectural and interior design expertise of HBA Indonesia (Jakarta).

The 600 sqm space carries through the Americana & barbeque steakhouse culture prominently with every finish and material that starts at the ground floor through the entrance with a dry-aged meat display that welcomes guests to take them through the stairs leading to the upper floor to the main space boasting of a bar, wine cave, 2 private dining rooms, general dining, and a cozy VIP corner for select guests.

The venue will also house Meatsmith’s quick-service  brand, Meatsmith Xpress, which is slated to open soon.
