The Luxury Dining Series 2025 has arrived in Jakarta for its fifth stop, with The St. Regis Jakarta presenting a program that intertwines culinary heritage, contemporary artistry, and cultural storytelling. Running from July to September across Asia Pacific, the series connects some of Marriott International’s most acclaimed properties, including The St. Regis Osaka, JW Marriott Jeju Resort & Spa, JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa, The Ritz-Carlton Perth, The St. Regis Singapore, and The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok.

For Marriott Bonvoy members, these curated dining events are offered as exclusive Marriott Bonvoy Moments, giving access to one-of-a-kind culinary experiences hosted by celebrated chefs and mixologists.

Reviving Forgotten Flavors

At Bel Étage, Chef Almatino “Tino” Gabriel Ibrata leads the opening with Forgotten Flavors, a family-style feast tracing the culinary map of the Indonesian archipelago. Dishes such as Ajam Lodho from East Java, the historic Betawi Gaboes Poekoeng, and the nearly forgotten Oseng Sajoer Gori from Central Java showcase recipes and rituals in danger of fading from memory. The evening begins with a Wayang performance, setting a cultural tone for the culinary journey ahead.

Cultural Destinations and Storytelling

The series extends beyond the table with Destination Tours across Jakarta. Guests will visit Iwan Tirta Home for a private batik session and explore the JAVARA Culture Jakarta spice garden with sambal-making workshops and a heritage spice lunch. Another tour highlights Old Batavia Town, including Museum Fatahillah and the Wayang Museum, offering context to the city’s layered history.

Michelin-Starred and Artistic Collaborations

At J.J.A., Chef Arne Riehn of IGNIV Bangkok (one MICHELIN star) brings his modern Swiss approach to Taste of the Tales, adding a distinctive international chapter to the Jakarta program. Meanwhile, The Drawing Room presents a month-long Afternoon Tea collaboration between award-winning Singaporean pastry chef Janice Wong and The St. Regis Jakarta’s Chef Kevin Lee, where artistic patisserie takes inspiration from Wong’s bold colors and playful contrasts.

A Spirited Tribute at the Bar

The St. Regis Bar honors Batavia’s vibrant past with an exclusive takeover by Yasuhiro Kawakubo of Punch Room, The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza, and Giovanni Graziadei of Punch Room, The Singapore EDITION. Their signature punches merge heritage flavors with contemporary cocktail craftsmanship.

A Grand Finale

The program concludes with Sparkle Sunday Brunch at Bel Étage. The celebration begins with a pre-cocktail gathering and the signature sabrage ritual, followed by an expansive buffet of seafood, international cuisines, and free-flowing wine and champagne, closing the Jakarta edition of the Luxury Dining Series on a festive note.

With its focus on rediscovery and cultural connection, the Luxury Dining Series at The St. Regis Jakarta highlights how gastronomy, heritage, and artistry come together to tell the city’s storied flavors in a modern light.
