Kempi Deli has reopened its doors at Grand Indonesia with a redesigned space and expanded layout. Now occupying 116 square metres on Level 2 of the East Mall, the deli introduces a new concept focused on both updated aesthetics and expanded menu offerings.
Designed by Jakarta-based Studio Breu, the new space features an open bar, white oak paneling, brass details, and earth-toned finishes. The design includes fluted glass doors, Matsuotiled walls, Kaspia terrazzo countertops, and Indonesian pottery, with cactus arrangements adding a botanical element. Seating options include sofas, stools, and tiered lounge-style seats aimed at solo diners, groups, and casual visitors.
Kempi Deli’s updated menu reflects current dining preferences with an emphasis on quality ingredients and comforting flavors. Highlights include the Kempinski Sourdough, a house-baked loaf using a longstanding recipe, and a variety of viennoiseries such as the Twist Berries (pistachio and red berries) and Pretzel Croissant.
Among the dessert offerings, the doughnuts feature rich fillings like peanut butter and Valrhona chocolate-pistachio ganache. Cakes such as the Hazelnut Cake—made with Valrhona hazelnut cream and chocolate sable—and a Gorgonzola Cheese Tart add variety to the pastry display.
The food selection also includes soups, sandwiches, salads, and all-day breakfast dishes, such as K-Benedict and chia bowls. Pasta options include Seafood Sambal Matah Aglio Olio and Wagyu Ragout Pappardelle. Beverages range from coffee and matcha to curated tea selections.
Kempi Deli is now open daily and aims to serve both local residents and shoppers seeking a casual stop for bakery items, meals, or coffee in central Jakarta.
