This year marks a quiet milestone for Indonesia’s coffee scene. Jakarta Coffee Week—known to many as Jacoweek—returns for its tenth edition from 31 October to 2 November 2025, at ICE BSD City. What began as a modest gathering has grown into a steady fixture in the country’s coffee calendar, bringing together farmers, baristas, roasters, and coffee lovers from across the archipelago.
Held in Hall 3 and 3A, Jacoweek 2025 welcomes over 200 coffee and tea-related brands, both local and international. The event continues to be supported by Bank Mandiri, whose presence reflects a broader commitment to Indonesia’s creative economy and everyday lifestyle. This year’s theme, “A Decade of Passion”, speaks to the quiet persistence of those who’ve shaped the industry—not just through products, but through relationships and shared knowledge.
Hendri Kurniawan, Co-Founder of Jacoweek, reflects on the journey with calm pride. “Ten years ago, we started with a simple idea: to create a space where people in coffee—farmers, communities, small businesses—could meet and learn from each other,” he says. “Now, it’s become something more. We’ve built a foundation for collaboration, and we’re seeing the results. Indonesian coffee is gaining recognition, and our baristas are making their mark globally.”
The event’s format remains familiar: a mix of exhibitions, competitions, and conversations. But each year brings new layers. In 2025, Jacoweek expands its reach by partnering with Tokyo Coffee Festival, opening doors for international exchange. It also welcomes Indonesia Tea Culture, acknowledging the growing interest in tea among younger audiences. A new competition, Matcha Match, will debut as part of this collaboration. Sustainability is also quietly woven into the program. Jacoweek is working with Daur Baur Micro Factory to manage plastic cup waste during the event—a small but meaningful step toward more responsible practices.
Among the returning participants is Roemah Koffie, a well-known Indonesian brand. Their Latte Art Competition is back with a larger scale and new global partners. Felix TJ, Roemah Koffie CEO, shares that the initiative is meant to encourage creativity and support baristas in building their craft. Beside that, Jacoweek 2025 will host several competitions, including Delifru Drink Expert, Iron Tongue by Young Baek, Tarung Tiga, Nordic E-Roasting Challenge. Each one offers a space for participants to share their skills and learn from others.
Looking ahead, Hendri remains focused on the event’s original spirit. “We want Jacoweek to keep serving as a bridge,” he says. “A place where people in the industry can come together, share ideas, and build something lasting. That’s how we move forward—together.”
