Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta welcomes the Mid-Autumn Festival with the launch of its 2025 Mooncake Hampers, a collection that merges cultural heritage with refined artistry. Available from August to 6 October 2025, the hampers draw inspiration from the ancient Chinese legend of the moon rabbit, a symbol of connection across distance and time.
The keepsake boxes feature a circular moon-viewing window framed in patterned gold lattice, set against warm tones of sunset bronze and cinnamon beige. Delicate lotus motifs — representing purity, renewal, and strength — bloom beneath the moon’s glow, while textured wrapping and a golden tassel evoke the elegance of traditional craftsmanship with a modern touch.
Inside, mooncakes by Chinese Executive Chef Lai Chong Seng and his team pay homage to the festival’s heritage while introducing contemporary flavour combinations. Each piece is meticulously made and stamped with the Kempinski emblem, signifying quality and attention to detail.
Three hamper sizes are available for different gifting needs. The Tu Zi Hamper (IDR 688,000 net) includes two flavours: White Lotus Egg Yolk and Red Bean Egg Yolk. The Chang’e Hamper (IDR 988,000 net) offers four flavours: White Lotus Egg Yolk, Red Bean Egg Yolk, Pandan, and Custard. For a broader selection, the Hou Yi Hamper (IDR 1,288,000 net) presents six varieties, adding Green Tea Egg Yolk and Black Sesame Egg Yolk to the mix. Individual mooncakes can also be purchased at IDR 150,000 net per piece.
Guests placing orders before 31 August 2025 will receive a 15% early bird discount. With its intricate design and blend of classic and modern flavours, the 2025 Mooncake Hampers embody the Mid-Autumn Festival’s enduring themes of togetherness and celebration.
