When it comes to celebrating Chinese New Year, most people go for Chinese food. But this year, why not switch things up with some Italian dishes? In Italy, New Year’s celebrations are all about hearty meals that stand for abundance, prosperity, and togetherness. With that idea in mind, Carna by Dario Cecchini is shaking things up by offering a special family-style menu for Chinese New Year, giving a fresh twist to the festive season in Hong Kong. The limited-time menu features two iconic Italian dishes, Ribollita Toscana and Porchetta, each steeped in history and tradition.

Menu Highlights

Ribollita, which means “reboiled,” comes from Tuscany and started as a way to use leftovers. At Carna, this classic dish gets a modern twist with fresh seasonal vegetables, soft poached eggs, cannellini beans, and the rich aroma of black truffle, making it a comforting example of Italian creativity and community spirit. Similarly, Porchetta has been a festive favorite for ages. In Italian culture, this dish represents prosperity and is often the star of family gatherings and celebrations.

The more, the merrier; you can also enjoy other signature dishes from the menu, such as the creamy Burrata Caprese paired with basil sorbet, Polpette Cacio e Uova which are the Italian cheese and eggs balls, and the ever-popular Italian Costata di Manzo; a 45-day dry-aged Italian beef ribeye grilled to perfection. Finish the meal sweetly with Tiramisù al Pistacchio, made with layers of rich Sicilian pistachio paste and mascarpone cream.
