ABC Cooking Studio Indonesia is celebrating its seventh anniversary this month, marking seven years of inspiring culinary creativity and building a vibrant cooking community. Since opening its first studio in Jakarta in 2018, the brand has grown into a lifestyle destination with more than 15,000 members across Indonesia.
The anniversary celebration coincides with a global milestone — the 40th anniversary of ABC Cooking Studio Japan, founded in 1985. To mark both occasions, ABC Cooking Studio Indonesia is presenting three limited-edition menu available only in August, alongside two major events designed to bring together cooking enthusiasts nationwide.
“Cooking has the power to bring smiles in any situation. That has been ABC Cooking Studio’s belief,” said Yokoi, Founder of ABC Cooking Studio, in his 40th-anniversary message. “For 40 years, we have walked alongside our members, bringing colour to their dining tables and warmth to their hearts.”

As part of the celebration, the studio is offering special dishes available only during August:
Cooking Class: Chopped Beef Steak & Vongole Rosso
Bread Class: Twisted Doughnuts in Berry and Matcha flavours
Cake Class: Gateau au Thé Vert
Each menu reflects a fusion of Japanese flavours with creative international influences, brought to life in ABC Cooking Studio’s Jakarta kitchens.
ABC Masterplate 2025 – A Cooking Competition for Members
One of the key highlights is ABC Masterplate 2025, a nationwide cooking competition for ABC Cooking Studio members. More than just a contest, the event is a celebration of members’ creativity and culinary journey with the studio.
With the theme “Your Journey on a Plate”, participants are tasked with creating a dish that represents their personal experiences and stories during their time at ABC Cooking Studio. The competition unfolds in three stages:
Online Registration (23 July – 5 August)
Semi-Final – Top 12 teams (16 August, Senayan City Studio)
Grand Final – Top 10 individuals (30 August, Senayan City Studio)
The grand champion will earn the title The ABC Masterplate 2025 and receive IDR 10,000,000 in cash, a trophy, a special edition apron, free cooking classes, and additional prizes from ABC Cooking Studio and its sponsors.
“This competition is our way of recognising the passion and creativity of our members,” said Sally Sebrina, Country General Manager of ABC Cooking Studio Indonesia. “It’s also an opportunity for the brand to connect with an active and enthusiastic community.”
ABC Shinkansen – A Journey Through Seven Years
Carrying the theme Shinkansen, inspired by Japan’s iconic bullet train, the anniversary event will take visitors through the highlights of ABC Cooking Studio’s seven-year journey in Indonesia. The celebration will feature interactive installations, member testimonials, and memorable moments from the studio’s history.
“ABC Cooking Studio is not just a place to learn cooking, but a space to share happiness,” Sally added. “Through this event, we want to remind people that cooking can be a simple way to create beautiful memories and strengthen relationships.”
Over the past seven years, ABC Cooking Studio has become a place where everyone — from beginners to skilled bakers — can learn, share, and grow together in the world of cooking.
