The Sarnies Group has introduced Carito’s, its first modern Latin American dining concept, located in a revitalized shophouse on Sukhumvit 22. Spanning two floors, the venue combines a vibrant restaurant with an upbeat wine bar, offering bold, reimagined Latin American dishes alongside curated wines, cocktails, and house-made non-alcoholic ferments.
Carito’s menu draws from diverse traditions across Latin America, blending time-honored recipes with modern techniques. Highlights include the Beef Shank Barbacoa, a six-hour slow-cooked dish served with mole poblano and mojo verde, and the Sea Bream Aguachile, featuring locally sourced fish paired with watermelon agua chile, chamomile salt, finger lime, and chive oil.
The beverage program spotlights wines from Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, alongside cocktails such as the Guava Pisco Sour and Oaxacan Old-Fashioned, which incorporate regional spirits and flavors. Non-alcoholic options include Sourdough & Honey, a sourdough mead made with leftover Sarnies sourdough, wildflower honey, and osmanthus, and Tepache, a fermented pineapple drink with piloncillo.
By reinterpreting classics like barbacoa and aguachile, Carito’s bridges tradition and innovation, offering a contemporary dining experience that honors Latin America’s culinary roots. The venue is now open on Sukhumvit 22, inviting guests to explore the continent’s diverse flavors through food and drink.
