In 2018, one of the world’s most renowned three Michelin starred chefs, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, together with his son, a talented chef, awarded in Zagat’s 30 Under 30 list, Cédric Vongerichten expanded their empire and opened Vong Kitchen in Jakarta’s bustling Sudirman Central Business District. Showcasing their attention to balancing flavor and texture whilst blending French, American & Asian cooking influences in what has become known as modern French American cuisine.
After three long years of lockdown, Cédric Vongerichten finally makes his step back to Jakarta. Arriving on the 22nd of August 2022, he will showcase his specialty on French cooking methods combined with Indonesian local ingredients, presented via an exceptional tasting menu called “French Meets Indonesian”. A beautifully designed seven course menu where you will be taken to a journey through Chef Cédric’s French family roots and his passion to Indonesian herbs & spices. It would not be a complete journey without wine, and we are excited to announce a partnership with French Bordeaux for this special occasion including vintages from Pascal Jolivet Attitude, Château La Fleur & Château Angélus.
Indulge in memorable dishes including Norwegian Salmon Tartare served with warm Tartine, Kecombrang Dressing & Mentaiko or Black Tiger Prawn Dumpling with Beurre Blanc, Sturgeon Caviar & Terasi. Last but not least, Blue Cheese-Aged Rib Eye Steak served with Sambal Hijau & Glazed Mushroom. Chef Cédric will be presenting this menu on the 25th & 26th of August 2022. Chef Cédric also brought two special dishes available only until August 29th, 2022 to Le Burger. Inspired by his signature French cooking style combined with his excitement to Indonesia’s herbs & spices he proudly present the U.S. MAINE LOBSTER BURGER served with Sambal, Gruyere & Yuzu Pickles. Second special menu that he would like to share is the LE BURGER ROSSINI which will comes with the Black Truffle, Sautéed Foie Gras & Mushroom Jam. This unique and innovative creation will surely leaves a whole new experience for Jakarta’s market
