Jakarta dining scene is about to get hotter. Singapore’s Burnt Ends Hospitality Group presents an oasis for meat lovers with Meatsmith Jakarta.

The bustling area of Gunawarman is about to get busier; Singapore’s Burnt Ends Hospitality Group officially debuted  Meatsmith Jakarta. After succeeding in their venture in Singapore and Doha, Meatsmith Jakarta brings you the best dining experience focused on authenticity and comfort. Collaborating with Ateria Group, Meatsmith Jakarta is here to get a new and authentic hype, especially for meat lovers.

Meatsmith explores the various cultures, cooking techniques, and flavours. The food reflects a casual, big flavoured, and family-friendly style and has a curated beverage list to complement the cuisine with an artisanal wine list, craft beers, classic cocktails, and extensive spirit collections that feature whiskies and bourbons.

The experience will start when you first enter the 600sqm space. An impressive display of the restaurant’s signature high-quality dry-aged meat will greet you upon entering. Every single detail of Meatsmith Jakarta carries the Americana, and barbeque culture prominently starts at the ground floor through the entrance. With the main dining area located on the second floor, the interior design, although dominated by dark and amber colours, succeed in giving you an intimate yet cosy surrounding. There are two private dining rooms, general dining, a cosy VIP corner and a spacious bar to boast. The design was helmed by HBA Group’s Social F+B from Singapore and HBA Indonesia. With plenty of natural lights, the atmosphere is perfect for casual dining with your friends or a special night out with your loved ones.

With Chef-Owner Dave Pynt as the mastermind behind every menu, guests could taste the speciality of a BBQ Smokehouse like never before. Chef Dave believes magic comes from cooking with wood, and to give the utmost dining experience, Chef Dave has created exclusive dishes only available at Meatsmith Jakarta.

Before you indulge in a complete adventure, start your dining experience with some starter menu selection. Their Scotch Quail Eggs is crunchy and full of flavour that burst in your mouth; the runny smoked quail egg is wrapped with chicken sausage and deep-fried. Another starter that you should not miss is their Beef Brisket Spring Rolls. Accompanied with their special BBQ Aioli sauce, the soft brisket is wrapped in a crispy spring roll; in one bite, you will experience the crunchy and soft texture from the meat and the perfect combination of sweet and salty from the sauce.

Moving on to the main course selection that is specially made for Meatsmith Jakarta. The 14-hour Smoked Brisket is served with date puree, tahini dressing and watercress salad. Juicy and soft, the smoked brisket was one of the highlights on the menu that you won’t want to miss. The combination of the smoky flavour is accompanied by a light touch of sweetness from the date puree and combined with the freshness of the watercress salad. The next dish is the 12-hour Smoked Beef Short Ribs, served with corn puree and sauteed corn, accompanied with parsley salad and pickled red onion. The freshness from the house-made pickled red onion combined with the juicy meat gives it a balance in texture and flavour, resulting in a flavourful bite that makes you want more.

Last but not least is the Cold Smoked Grilled Lobster, served with smoked potato puree, crispy potato chips and agrodolce. The combination of flavour and texture creates a more light dish, but with the whole experience, you will only get in a Smokehouse restaurant.

If you don’t know which to choose, get the whole experience of Meatsmith Jakarta with their special platter, consisting of Jerk Chicken Chop, 12-hour Smoked Beef Short Ribs, and 14-hour Smoked Beef Brisket.

No dinner is complete without the perfect companion of great drinks and dessert. Meatsmith Jakarta menu is complemented by a carefully curated international wine selection, craft beers, and extensive spirit collections focusing on fine whiskies and bourbons. Try their signature Sloe Gin Negroni, but if you don’t feel like drinking, they also serve some of their signature non-alcoholic menus, such as Southern Iced Tea and Hibiscus Lemonade.

Meanwhile, their selection of desserts includes Lemon Curd Cheesecake. A classic baked American cheesecake topped with lemon curd, the combination of sweet and tangy, makes this dish the perfect dessert to end your dine-out experience.

Aside from the whole Smokehouse experience, Meatsmith also presents a grab and go quick service concept with Meatsmith Xpress. Open on the ground floor; this is the first brick and mortar Meatsmith Xpress that offers you selected dishes such as the Meatsmith Cheeseburger, Beef Brisket Sandwich, and the special menu such as the 14-hour Smoked Beef Brisket and the 12-hour Smoked Beef Short Ribs.
