Elle & Vire Professionnel Invites Talented Young Chefs

Elle & Vire Professionnel presents “The Values We Share Challenge” in search of talented individuals in culinary industries.


In 2022, Elle & Vire Professionnel launched a “The Values We Share” campaign. Through this campaign, Elle & Vire Professionnel wanted to share four strong values shared by the brand’s dairy farmers and community of global chefs that use Elle & Vire Professionnel products.

The first value is Taste. Its presence highlights the pleasure of an unrivaled full rounded flavor that enhances chefs’ creations. The second value is Origin, which guarantees a French origin. The next value is Excellence which acts as an assurance of the safety of working on a product that the chefs can rely on to bring the best results to their recipes. The last value is Nature which represents the pride of working with raw materials as close to nature as possible.

To bring the four strong values to Indonesia, Elle & Vire Professionnel brings back its annual “The Value We Share Challenge” that runs from 1 October 2022 to 15 January 2023. Through this event, Elle & Vire Professionnel is inviting young talents aged 17-30 to join the online cooking competition with the complete rules below:

  1. To join this event, participants must register at
  2. Make a video creating Indonesian inspired plated dessert using a minimum of 30 percent of Elle & Vire Professionnel three renowned products from all ingredients. The main product participants must use Elle & Vire Professionnel Excellence Whipping Cream, Butter, and the other Elle & Vire Professionnel product can vary depending on the recipe.
  3. Elle & Vire Professionnel allows participants to be creative by incorporating other ingredients, like chocolate, nuts, dried fruits, and more. Most importantly, all components—including garnish—should be edible.
  4. The video submitted must be in landscape format with a maximum of two minutes, consisting of an introduction, the dessert’s main ingredients, dessert plating, and a comprehensive explanation.
  5. Video is submitted to with proofs of Elle & Vire Professionnel receipt from the store, the dessert photo with Elle & Vire Professionnel product packages in the background, and lastly, the recipe of the dessert.
  6. Participants must upload their videos to their social media accounts, tag @elleetvirepro_indonesia, and put #TONEofINDONESIA in the caption.

The submission is open until 15 January 2023, with Chef Nicolas Boussin, MOF pâtissier 2000, Executive Pastry Chef at the Maison De L’excellence Savencia, and Chef Ucu Sawitri, pastry and bakery chef, acting as the preliminary judges.

Six finalists will be announced on 10 February 2023, and an offline battle for the six finalists will take place in Jakarta on 25 February 2023. During the final, the finalists will be challenged to create four portions of their chosen dessert in 120 minutes in front of four judges: Chef Gilles Marx of Amuz; Chef Sacha Lefebvre of Paris Sorbet; Chef Ucu Sawitri, pastry and bakery chef from Indonesia Pastry Alliance; and Chef Gunawan Wu, Indonesian celebrity pastry chef from Adelaide.

Three winners will have a chance to bring home exciting prizes and invaluable experience for their future career development, including an opportunity to cook with Etienne Leroy, one of Elle & Vire Professionnel’s ambassadors, at an Elle & Vire Professionnel event in 2023 and a chance to join an exclusive international pastry training with Elle & Vire Professionnel. Chef Leroy is a French chef who won a gold medal at Pastry World Cup 2017 with a spectacular Rock ’n’ Roll-themed creation. Inspired by great French chefs, Chef Leroy’s creative mind lets each ingredient shine by not cooking it too much or using the technical knowledge necessary to achieve that goal.

By bringing The Values We Share Challenge to Indonesia, Elle & Vire Professionnel aims to share expertise with the young generation as one of the core values of Elle & Vire Professionnel. The mission is also backed by the Elle & Vire Professionnel program to partner with numerous prestigious training establishments dedicated to cuisine and pastry around the globe. By conducting the event, Elle & Vire Professionnel hope to engage and provide a platform for young chefs in Indonesia to showcase their skills and open opportunities to boost their professional careers.
