Christmas Gift Ideas: Food You Can Wear

SAGA STUDIO first established itself as an independent jewelry label in 2011 while working from a modest atelier in Nepal. Owners Jerome and Fiona call themselves a small team of multi-disciplinary ‘imagineers’ banded together by their passion for culture, knowledge and design. They are involved in the entire process from imagining the initial concept to engineering the finest details. Enchanted by the language of lines and the poetry of texture, with strong emphasis on structure, every one of their pieces is a meditation on function and aesthetics.

Their aesthetics are based on tribal tech fashion which combines the minimal, futuristic quality of Space with the organic, sensual quality of the Earth. They have merged these two concepts into a hybrid collection of Celestial + Terrestrial-inspired jewelry and clothing.

Their Molecule collection is what caught our eye. Molecules are the building blocks of everything around us. If you took an electron microscope and zoomed into any substance on Earth, you’d find an entire universe of atoms buzzing around. When specific atoms group together, a MOLECULE is created which then forms a unique element or chemical compound. By transcribing the molecular structure of popular food products, Saga Studio has created a line of wearable food jewelry. Every piece is hand- finished and carefully constructed without compromising on the quality of the materials. They use brass, gold and 925 silver which are all sourced locally. Through synergy of mind and heart, they craft our pieces from beginning to end in our workshop in Bali.

They have necklaces, earrings and bracelets with the molecular structure of chocolate – theobromine – C7H8N4O2, coffee – caffeine – C8H10N4O2 and wine – resveratrol – C14H12O3.

The perfect gift for your foodie friends.
