A Taste of India
This coming November, visitors to The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali can look forward to savoring A Taste of India, a feast of Indian delicacies from the different parts of the vibrant and exotic country. Every Friday from 6.30pm onwards, the Indian buffet is slated to be held at the hotel’s charming Ikan Beach Garden. An esteemed chef with successful stints in five-starred hotels and resorts in India and Australia, the hotel’s Executive Chef Manoj Rawat curated the menu with his impressive breadth of his native cuisine. The eclectic spread of Indian cuisine at the festival aims to introduce guests to the diverse regional cuisines from all corners of India.
Expect hot food such as rotis cooked fresh from the live cooking stations, Indian delicacies made in an authentic clay tandoor oven as well as fresh do-it-yourself salad at the appetizer station. For those looking for traditional humble fares, a charming variety of street food will be available. “I grew up on street food, and I always loved it. The best thing about street food is that it is interactive, and often prepared by the owner himself.” Executive Chef Manoj Rawat said of his love affair with street food. Aside from street food, guests can look forward to South Indian cuisine such as curried stews as well as grilled kebabs and vegetarian options. For the perfect end to the meal, diners are urged to browse the expansive dessert station showcasing Indian sweets, cakes, ice cream and freshly cut fruits.
