JIA Presents Classic Baked Mooncakes

Delicious mooncakes are ready for you at JIA at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta for the Mid-Autumn Festival

Welcoming the Mid-Autumn Festival, JIA, the contemporary Chinese dining at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, takes part in this annual celebration by presenting an assortment of traditional baked mooncakes made in-house.

Mooncakes are a traditional delicacy for the Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the eighth month on the lunar calendar. The round mooncakes resemble the full moon, a symbol of family reunion in traditional Chinese culture.

Under the direction of the new Dim Sum Chef, Wong Kiat Hong, JIA brings guests the all-time favourite traditional mooncake flavours ranging from White Lotus Paste, White Lotus with Double Yolk and Red Lotus with Single Yolk to Red Lotus with Double Yolk.

For guests who love to explore more flavours, JIA has prepared unique mooncake fillings that include Red Bean Paste, Healthy Five Grain, Bamboo Charcoal Pandan and Green Tea Lotus.

The mooncake set comes in two sizes – two pieces and four pieces. Meticulously presented in a lavish box polished in stunning turquoise colour covered with textured cloth prints of tropical flower motifs in pastel colours, the enchanting treats make a very stylish Mid-Autumn gift.

Mooncakes are on display and available for purchase in a dedicated booth at the hotel’s lobby from August to September 2018. Guests who order before 31 August 2018 and Golden Circle members will enjoy 20 percent savings.
