Breakfast in PIK Neighborhood
Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) recently become a new food destination for Jakartans.
It was a long time ago since last time I went to PIK. I heard PIK has seen a lot of new food places opening: steak, ramen, dessert, you name it. Many restaurants and cafe open from morning until the late evening.
“One Nu-Nana Ba-Tella Dance, please,” I said to the waitress, working out the pronunciation of the quirky name for a waffle with banana.
The waffle was flavored with vanilla, it’s perfectly baked with crispy surface. I love eating the waffle with all the toppings. Feel like a party inside my mouth.
The second floor is more exposed to the sun, it’s so bright. The first floor, however, was warmly lit with light bulbs with feathers on them.
They also served water infused with apple that we can drink for free. I love cafes offering free water, especially those who put the effort to provide not just tap water.
