Breakfast in PIK Neighborhood

Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) recently become a new food destination for Jakartans.

It was a long time ago since last time I went to PIK. I heard PIK has seen a lot of new food places opening: steak, ramen, dessert, you name it. Many restaurants and cafe open from morning until the late evening.

To fulfill my curiosity about new PIK, I went there to have a breakfast. I chose BERMVDA. BERMVDA is a coffee shop that served meals also. The most favorite dish in here is their waffle. I chose a sweet waffle to accompany my coffee.

“One Nu-Nana Ba-Tella Dance, please,” I said to the waitress, working out the pronunciation of the quirky name for a waffle with banana.

My latte come first, so I can chill while waiting for my breakfast. I love the latte art that they gave to my cup. They’re sourcing their beans from the famous roaster Common Grounds . The waffle then came, shaped in the place’s logo, topped with vanilla ice cream, banana brulee, Oreo crumble, Nutella spread, Milo, and cookie crumble. Yes, there were a lot of toppings and I loved it.

The waffle was flavored with vanilla, it’s perfectly baked with crispy surface. I love eating the waffle with all the toppings. Feel like a party inside my mouth.

BERMVDA has two floors, each has a projected screen playing music videos, with a lot of quote on their walls.

The second floor is more exposed to the sun, it’s so bright. The first floor, however, was warmly lit with light bulbs with feathers on them.

Their chairs are made from huge tree cut in pieces, combined with steel base.

They also served water infused with apple that we can drink for free. I love cafes offering free water, especially those who put the effort to provide not just tap water.
