After succesfully opening Javanegra, Andrea Peresthu is expanding his food venture by opening  Ático.

THIS NEW venture, according to Andrea, has more Spanish flourish compared to Javanegra.

“It is the same as Javanegra, it is still simple Spanish home cooking but Ático is more Spanish. This is straightforward food because my background is not as a chef,” said Andrea when asked about the concept behind Ático.

Ático is located on the fourth floor rooftop of the BTPN building in the busy area of Mega Kuningan. The place is spacious and classy with a touch of earthy tones. The area is divided into outdoor and indoor spaces. The signature live kitchen, bar, coffee machines and manual brew machines are permanent features. To dine at Ático, you don’t need to dress sandals wearing sandals and shorts is welcome.

“We don’t charge the customer for the service, and no formalities such as shoes and formal attire. It is very straightforward food,” said Andrea.

Though dining is considered a casual affair at Ático, the food is taken rather seriously. You will have more options here with the focus not only on the meat, but also on seafood such as clams or shrimp.

The fish are sourced locally from Sulawesi, the pork imported directly from Spain, and many of the meat products are sourced from France and Japan. Think of jamon iberico, paella, gambas, and other authentic Spanish tapas.

The hero of the meal is the suckling pig with grilled strip loin with chimichurri sauce. The portion is enough for four or six people. So, make sure you bring your amigos over to avoid a food coma. For beverages, Ático serves a selection of quality wines and and coffee.

When done with the eating affair, enjoy the spacious alfresco rooftop area, which is ideal for sipping sangria or snacking on durian ice cream while enjoying the skyline.
